**WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**:
The **CertifiedContracts Specialist / Exec. Assistant** will work towards meeting thestrategic priorities of the Southern Andes Business Unit. Thisposition is the point of contact in the drafting and administrationworkflow for all agreements. S/He provides oversight for theagreements process, ensuring compliance with internal policies andprocedures and local laws. This role ensures effective trackingmechanisms to monitor the workflow process for agreements in order tohelp Project Managers manage their agreements, mitigate delays, andprovide updates to other departments in a timely manner.

Thisprofessional will be working closely with managers and coordinators toprovide advice related to agreements for the implementation of programactivities (agreement type, payment schedules, deliverables, etc.) andworking closely with Legal, Operations, and Grants Specialists toensure that the terms and conditions of the agreements are appropriatefor the given transaction or relationship. This position will preparemonthly reports regarding contractual due dates, payments, productdelivery, expiration dates, amendments, and others to send to theProject Managers.

There will also be up to a 30%-timededication in support of the Business Unit Director for SouthernAndes. In this role, the Certified Contracts Specialist will performoperational and administrative tasks including travel and eventlogistics, agenda and contract management, organization of high-levelevents, contact management, reporting as well as research and analysisdocuments. She/he will manage internal communications of the BusinessUnit and support the Proposal Review Team, Leadership and All Staffmeetings and other internal work groups in alignment with tasksrelated to the Business Unit Director. These tasks require excellentproactive organizational and tracking skills to ensure the agenda,facilitation and agreements are produced for each meeting based onHighly Effective Teams and other management tools. High level eventswill also require excellent capacities to coordinate, trouble-shootand engage with a broad range of teams within and outside ofTNC.

**WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU**:
The **Certified ContractsSpecialist / Exec. Assistant **will coordinate all aspects ofplanning, drafting, obtaining approvals for, signing, registering,filing and tracking contracts, grants, and other agreements(collectively “agreements”) for the Southern Andes Business Unit.Additionally it will dedicate 30% time in support of the Business UnitDirector for Southern Andes with logístical and administrativesupport.

Responsibilities and Scope
- Completes training toobtain certification as a Certified Contracts Specialist (CCS) withinTNC and maintains active status by attending periodic trainings,working closely with the Legal Department, other CCSs, and the TNCContracts Manager for Latin America;
- Receives agreement requestsfrom Project Managers and uses this information to draft legalagreements using templates provided by the TNC Legal Department.Serves as the point of contact for agreement approvals from Legal,Grants, Operations, Finance, etc.
- Coordinates with ProjectManagers to understand programmatic needs and advise on how to meetprogrammatic demands in a timely manner through appropriateagreements;
- Identifies and provides training sessions to BU staffabout drafting and managing agreements (especially for new or newlypromoted staff).
- Acts independently within broad program goals toprioritize tasks in the absence of specific instructions and exerciseindependent judgment to identify and solve problems;
- Demonstratessensitivity in handling confidential information and managesagreements in accordance with TNC standards
- Maintains completefiles for all agreements and provides accurate information to otherdepartments (e.g., internal audit) or staff members upon request
